Endodontic treatments, root canals, or commonly called “nerve killing” involve the treatment of lesions of the dental pulp.
The dental pulp contains the nerves and blood vessels that assist the tooth in its development.
Pulp lesions occur when bacteria from untreated dental caries, leaking fillings, trauma or even gum disease enter the pulp.
The right equipment to do the job well is essential for the success of our treatments, and nowadays the use of magnification is required to achieve the minimum quality standards required in a high percentage of cases. Endodontics changes the prognosis of teeth that in many cases should be extracted. It consists of removing the damaged or infected tissues, then the duct is cleaned, disinfected and sealed.

Root canal treatment is performed under local anesthesia, usually the discomfort occurs before due to the problem that the tooth suffers or also after treatment, however our specialists prescribe appropriate medication to counteract this discomfort.
Each patient may have a different symptomatology, however, when there is a hypersensitivity to heat, cold or chewing or a very intense pain may be a sign of pulp problems.
However, there may also be asymptomatic cases that are not detected without clinical examination.
