Teeth whitening is one of the dental aesthetic treatments that we are committed to at Platón Dental. It consists of the application of a carbamide or hydrogen peroxide gel that is placed in a customized splint, made from molds of the patient’s mouth made by the Platón Dental team.

The Platón Dental team explains to the patient step by step the process for a correct use at home. The process is simple, a drop of whitening gel is applied in each space of the splint (equivalent to each tooth) and the splint is placed in the patient’s mouth.

The great advantage of at-home bleaching is that the patient only needs to purchase the syringe to put the gel on the splint. By having the molds already made, it is a much faster process.

Once home whitening has begun, the splint should be worn five hours a day, so the ideal time for it to fulfill its function is during the night.

As soon as treatment begins, periodic check-ups are carried out by means of dental photographs to keep track of the evolution.
